Privacy Policy
Influencer Hawa connects creators with brands. This policy explains exactly what we collect, why we collect it, and how to remove it. It describes the product as it actually works today.
1. Who we are
Influencer Hawa ("we", "us"), operating in India. For any privacy question or request, contact influencerhawa@gmail.com.
2. What we collect
2.1 When you create an account
- Your email address, and your name and profile picture if you sign in with Google.
- Your phone number, if you sign in by phone.
- The role you choose: Creator, Brand, or Service Provider.
- Profile details you enter yourself, such as your city and the categories you work in.
Authentication is handled by Supabase. We never see or store your password for any service.
2.2 When you connect Instagram
Connecting is optional, and you approve it on Instagram's own screen. We never see
your Instagram password. We ask for two permissions and nothing else —
instagram_business_basic and instagram_business_manage_insights
— neither of which lets us post, comment, or message as you. With your
permission, we retrieve and store:
| Data | Why |
|---|---|
| Username, name, bio, profile picture, account type | To show brands who you are |
| Follower count, following count, post count | The core numbers brands search and filter on |
| Reach, views, accounts engaged, total interactions | To show verified performance rather than self-reported claims |
| Audience age, gender, city and country — in aggregate only | To help brands find a relevant audience |
| Average likes, average comments, engagement rate | Calculated by us from your recent posts |
| An Instagram access token | To refresh the above. Stored encrypted; never sent to the app or to anyone else |
2.3 When you connect YouTube
Influencer Hawa uses YouTube API Services. Connecting is optional,
and you approve it on Google's own screen. We never see your Google password. We ask
for two read-only permissions and nothing else —
youtube.readonly and yt-analytics.readonly — so we
cannot upload, edit, delete, or comment on anything. With your permission, we
retrieve and store:
| Data | Why |
|---|---|
| Channel name, handle, description, picture, topic categories | To show brands who you are |
| Subscriber count, total views, video count | The core numbers brands search and filter on |
| Views, watch time, average view duration and percentage over the last 30 days | To show verified performance rather than self-reported claims |
| Likes, dislikes, comments, shares and saves over the last 30 days | The same, and to calculate your engagement rate |
| Subscribers gained and lost over the last 30 days | To show whether a channel is growing |
| A single audience-retention score | How well your videos hold viewers compared with similar videos |
| A Google refresh token | To refresh the above. Stored encrypted; never sent to the app or to anyone else |
Your YouTube analytics are private by default. The performance figures above are shown to brands only if you explicitly turn that on when connecting. You can change it at any time, and turning it off stops brands seeing them immediately.
Your use of YouTube through Influencer Hawa is also governed by the YouTube Terms of Service, and Google's handling of your data by the Google Privacy Policy.
3. What we do NOT store
- Your posts. Captions, images, videos and individual like counts are fetched live from Instagram when someone views your profile, and are never written to our database. We read your recent posts once a day only to calculate your average likes, average comments and engagement rate — then the posts are discarded and only those three numbers are kept.
- Your videos. The same rule, for the same reason. Video titles, descriptions and thumbnails are never written to our database; the video list you see on a profile is fetched live from YouTube each time and discarded.
- Your followers. We only receive aggregated demographics (for example "62% aged 25–34"), never a list of individual accounts. Instagram does not provide one, and we do not want one.
- Your direct messages or comments. We do not request those permissions at all.
- Any password, for any service.
4. How we use your data
- To verify that an Instagram account or YouTube channel genuinely belongs to you.
- To show brands accurate, platform-verified audience numbers.
- To let brands search and filter creators by audience size, engagement and location.
- To enable messaging between brands, creators and service providers on the platform.
- To resolve support requests and enforce our Terms.
We do not sell your data. We do not use it for advertising, and we do not share it with third parties other than the service providers listed below. No advertising is served on Influencer Hawa by anyone.
5. Who else touches it
- Meta / Instagram — the source of your Instagram data.
- Google / YouTube — the source of your YouTube data.
- Supabase — database and authentication.
- Vercel — application hosting.
Brands on Influencer Hawa see your Instagram numbers, and — only if you chose to share them — your YouTube numbers. They never receive your tokens, your email address, or anything you have not connected.
We may also disclose information if required to do so by Indian law, or in response to a valid legal request from a government authority.
6. How long we keep it
For as long as your account exists. Your Instagram and YouTube data is a cache that is refreshed every 24 hours, not a historical archive — we do not keep old snapshots. If a refresh stops being possible, the data is deleted rather than left to go stale.
7. Removing your data
Several ways, all of which work:
- Disconnect Instagram in the app. The access token is destroyed immediately and we stop retrieving anything new.
- Revoke access from Instagram (Settings → Apps and websites). Instagram notifies us and we destroy the token the same way.
- Disconnect YouTube in the app. We revoke the grant with Google and erase every piece of YouTube-derived data straight away.
- Revoke access from Google at the Google security settings page. Google does not notify us, so we discover it on our next daily refresh and erase your YouTube data then — well inside the seven days YouTube's policies allow.
- Delete your account in the app (Settings → Delete account). This is the complete version of everything above and more: we revoke your YouTube grant with Google, destroy both platform tokens, and then delete your account outright. Your profile, campaigns, applications and conversations go with it, immediately and permanently.
- Request full deletion by email. Write to influencerhawa@gmail.com, or use Instagram's data deletion request. Every piece of platform-derived data is erased. Because we never stored your posts or videos, there is nothing else to find.
8. Your rights
You can ask us to show you what we hold, correct it, or delete it, and you may withdraw your Instagram or YouTube permission at any time without losing your account. Write to influencerhawa@gmail.com and we will respond within 30 days.
9. Security
We use industry-standard encryption (SSL/TLS) for data in transit, and platform access tokens are additionally encrypted at rest. No system is perfectly secure, but we request the minimum permissions each platform allows — read-only in every case — so that the damage any breach could do is bounded by design.
10. Children
Influencer Hawa is not intended for anyone under 18, and we do not knowingly collect data from them.
11. Changes
If we change what we collect, we will update this page and change the date at the top.
